Financing Medical School: What You Need to Know
In a quickly changing world of student financial aid, this discussion will focus on the cost of applying to medical school, types of financial assistance available for students, loan repayment options, and loan forgiveness programs. You will also learn about the AAMC FIRST program and resources.
12:15 pm – 1:15 pm ET
Watch What Happens Live: Mock Interviews with Real Admissions Officers
Although medical schools use interviews as a tool to evaluate applicants, it's also a chance for applicants to evaluate the culture of a medical school and determine which schools are the best fit for them. This session will share tips for preparing for both virtual and in-person interviews, explain how schools use interviews as part of their assessment process, allow participants to view live mock interviews and hear feedback from current admissions officers.
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm ET
Dreaming of Medical School Without the Burden of Student Debt?
Join us to learn how Army medical programs can fully fund your education and set you up for success as a future physician. During the session, attendees will hear directly from Army medical professionals who will share their personal experiences, outline the advantages of the Health Professionals Scholarship Program (HPSP), and explain the application process. The workshop will also highlight additional benefits, including monthly stipends, housing allowances, and guaranteed residency opportunities. Attendees will learn from Dr. Benjamin Stork, who completed medical school without debt through HPSP, and they will receive clear guidance on eligibility requirements, timelines, and strategies to be a competitive applicant.
2:45 pm – 3:45 pm ET
What to Do While You Wait
You hit submit, and now what? The medical school application process can stretch a year or more, and the waiting is its own kind of work. This session flips the script: instead of anxiously refreshing your inbox, you'll learn how to use every phase of the wait to actively strengthen your candidacy. Three admissions deans and a pre-health advisor share what they're really looking for during the gaps, and why the wait is not downtime: it's part of the application. You'll come away with concrete strategies for each phase and a clear sense of what to do to make this natural wait count.
*All sessions will be recorded, and session recordings will be emailed to all registrants by close of business (COB) on June 5.
On June 4, 2026, attendees are invited to chat with exhibitors in their room from 11 AM to 6 PM ET.
